Alive–Pocket Full of Rocks
I got to spend the weekend away with my husband. I feel rested, and energized, and appreciative of our family and everything that’s going on at this stage of our lives. Well, maybe not EVERYthing, but going away has given me fresh perspective now that I’m home again. I wish I could bottle this rested, relaxed, happy feeling, because I know that in a few days, I will probably be feeling a bit ragged and crazy again. I guess I’ll just enjoy it while it lasts! God keeps blessing us, and I know I need to take the time to appreciate it a little (or a lot) more often.
Shazam saved the day, again, by reminding me of the perfect song for a day like today. Out of the difficulties I’ve had, God has shaped me and made me into a better, stronger person. I spent a lot of time reflecting on that process this weekend, and instead of dwelling on the downside of the struggles, I was lifted up by the realization of all the good that God has helped to bring about as a result of those hard times. How can I be down when I think about that?
Lively, I sing Lively, I live
Giving You all I have to give,
Until the world knows
the Love that’s made me so alive
I’m alive, I’m alive!
